Synopsis

Lucy Lost is a romantic and gothic libretto structured in four scenes about two 'undead' lovers -- an earthbound corpse and a ghost -- making the ultimate sacrifice to restore  the soul of a murderer in the hope of securing a happier eternity for themselves in the afterlife. This musical pays homage to Victorian era melodramas of the19th century and is written in a sweeping lyrical style that revisits the classic  themes of love, obsession, murder, vengeance, and ultimately the triumph of compassion over retribution.

Lucy Lost was written as a love letter to a bygone era of musical theatre with contemporary flourishes featuring a zombified spirit corpse, a ghost lover, a murderous stalker, and water nymphs who witness all the drama unfolding on the banks of the river. It is a romantic horror love story charged with passion, warmth and sentimentality.
