When Martin Grace enters the hip Philadelphia coffee shop Cornelia Brown manages, her life changes forever. But little does she know that her newfound love is only the harbinger of greater changes to come. Meanwhile, across town, Clare Hobbs—eleven years old and abandoned by her erratic mother—goes looking for her lost father. She crosses paths with Cornelia while meeting with him at the café, and the two women form an improbable friendship that carries them through the unpredictable currents of love and life.

Marisa de los Santos' prose reflects her artistry as a poet. You will not only fall in love with the characters in this novel, you will also fall in love with de los Santos' turns of phrase and descriptions. This is not your typical love story: it is better, far better. You won't regret purchasing this book and you will recommend it to others over and over.

I laughed, I cried, my heart broke for a child and then made me realize that although life isn't always perfect the best family in the world is the one you create yourself! Family of my Heart!
