Synopsis

Little Lord Fauntleroy (1886) had captured the fancy of the juvenile readers when it was serialized in St. Nicholas Magazine. At an early age Cedric a little boy in New York learns that he is the heir to the vast wealth of an English lord. The story takes a sudden turn however with the entrance of an unknown rival. The democratic spirit of American society is contrasted against the aristocratic traditions of the English.
