Synopsis

Millions of readers have thrilled to bestselling authors Bill O’Reilly and historian Martin Dugard’s Killing Kennedy and Killing Lincoln, page-turning works of nonfiction that have changed the way we read history.

Now the anchor of The O’Reilly Factor details the events leading up to the murder of the most influential man in history: Jesus of Nazareth. Nearly two thousand years after this beloved and controversial young revolutionary was brutally killed by Roman soldiers, more than 2.2 billion human beings attempt to follow his teachings and believe he is God. Killing Jesus will take readers inside Jesus’s life, recounting the seismic political and historical events that made his death inevitable - and changed the world forever.

Another deminsion
January 10th, 2015
I have read and studied the Bible from cover to cover and know and believe the life of Christ. The chronological writings in Killing Jesus brought a new deminsion to my understanding of Jesus' life.

Well-researched, well-written... The author did not try to sell whatever their beliefs are... But I am moved to practice my faith and learn more. I know I will go back reading this book again and again... Thanks, Bill and Martin.

Fantastic book to read. A complete history lesson in one. PLEASE upon completion of your reading, take time to read all of the footnotes and references. It makes for reading a second book in themselves. Great job Mr. O'Reilly, and Mr. Dugard thank you

This is the first book of O'Reilly's that I have read and am curious now based on this and the Killing Kennedy movie that National Geographic showed last November to read the others in the series.

Another tour de force from O'Reilly and Dugard. This is a detailed, non religious, telling of the story with eye-opening historical influences noted. As did so many oppressive ruling classes, the Romans kept a record of their behavior, good and bad, and the research that went into the book is remarkable. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned and/or relearned much material that my teachers tried to instill when I was younger and less open to this kind of history.

I learned much more from this book then I had thought to know before. It's vivid, alive with clear details and the most I've received is a clear understanding of what was happening around Jesus' time - the view of the big picture! Great read!

This is a book that every Christian should read simply for it's ability to remind us of the humanity of Jesus in his unimaginable suffering. It does raise questions of course, whose answers are a matter of faith. I find this book influential and timely. Thank you to the authors.
