Synopsis

Winner of the 2012 National Fiction Writing Competition for Physicians and Lawyers, Irreparable Harm is the first book in USA TODAY Bestselling Author Melissa F. Miller's Sasha McCandless legal thriller series!

After eight long years, attorney Sasha McCandless is about to make partner at a prestigious law firm. All she has to do is keep her head down and her billable hours up.

When a plane operated by her client slams into the side of a mountain, killing everyone aboard, Sasha gears up to defend the inevitable civil lawsuits.  She soon realizes the crash was no accident: a developer has created an application that can control a commercial plane's onboard computer from a smartphone.

Sasha joins forces with a federal air marshal, and they race to prevent another airline disaster. But when people close to the matter start turning up dead, Sasha must rely on both her legal skills and her Krav Maga training to stop the madman before he kills her.

Irretrievably Broken

Like all of Melissa Miler's books, this one is wonderful. Griping, fast moving, well written with good criticism. If I have to make a tiny criticism, it would be the lengthy descriptions of Sasha's fight scenes. It would probably be hard to shorten them, but if anyone could do it, it would be Melissa Miler

Sasha is not a believable character. She runs from being a lawyer to a superhero, it just doesn't work.

I really love the way Melissa describes things and situations. Very detailed and vivid. Love the flow of the story too. The closing chapters are too dragging however.

Tightly written, twists and turns

This book moves quickly and smoothly, throwing in a few plot twists along the way. There are a few predictable moments but they are good ones wrapped up on intrigue. A definite page turner

pretty good

I enjoyed reading this book, it opened my eyes to how lawyers strategise. The plot seemed plausible, the characters interesting, and I liked seeing a woman portrayed as intelligent and physically capable of defending herself, not waiting for some dude to rescue her. I would recommend this book.
