Synopsis

********GASOLENE IS GOING UP, UP, UP - Hypermiling May Help********I watched a news report the other day. A woman told the reporter that it cost her $75.00 to fill up her car. "It's scary," she said. And this just may be the beginning. There are too many things that can go wrong. Things that can drive the price of a gallon of gas ever higher: war, the threat of war, bad weather, seasonal retooling of refineries, fires at refineries, Middle East and South American despots, China's growing need and nervous Wall Street traders.

The price can rise at anytime leaving us feeling at the mercy of others. It turns family budgets into a shambles.  We commute to work to earn money to feed our families. So as the price of gas rises are we faced with cutting back on food just so we can run our cars?

It's time for drivers to make a shift in their style of driving so as to save dollars at the pump. People need to look at the option "hypermiling" offers in being able to increas the MPG of their vehicles. Hypermiling was practiced during World War II when gas was rationed. It worked then and it can work today.

If you can't afford to buy a hybrid car then learning some simple but effective hypermiling techniques may be your best and most effective means of stretching your gas dollar.
