Enjoyable and page turning

As usual, the plot runs pretty much to form with a jealous rival, the hero a tease, and the heroine with her nose out of joint. But the twists were a little mysterious-waiting to see how long it took Vanessa to figure it out. Why do I enjoy Emily's books so when she is so predictable? I like diversion from heavy reading, and her stories are soothing and sweet. It offers a sort of fanciful break from the cares of a chaotic world. It is reminiscent of fairy tales where everyone lives happily ever after, and the villain gets his/her comeuppance. Okay, I'm a romantic, but I love it!
