Synopsis

A copy of Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them resides in almost every wizarding household in the country. Now, for a limited period only, Muggles too have the chance to discover where the Quintaped lives, what the Puffskein eats, and why it is best not to leave milk out for a Knarl.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to improving and saving the lives of children around the world, which means that the dollars and Galleons you exchange for it will do magic beyond the powers of any wizard. If you feel that this is insufficient reason to part with your money, I can only hope most sincerely that passing wizards feel more charitable if they ever see you being attacked by a Manticore.

At least 40% from the sale of this book will be donated to Comic Relief (UK). Comic Relief (UK) is a registered charity number 326568 (England & Wales) and SC039730 (Scotland).

I read this a really long time ago, and it was actually really neat. I'm excited that they are now planning a movie based on this book, but i wonder how they will do it, since it's structured more like a dictionary or encyclopedia than anything. it was really cool to learn about the magical creatures in the harry potter world, and some of them i kind of wished were real. :P

Knowing this book will end up being the basis for an upcoming movie I felt drawn to read it. I normally don't read this type of add on to a series, but this was a good read and it actually makes me very interested in what JK is planning to do with the movie.

Really enjoyed this little spin-off of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter. I loved how she wrote it as a textbook. I would've enjoyed it more if it included a few visual representation of this or that beast. Otherwise pretty nice and quirky read.

this book is very fun to read. having little side notes from main characters involved in the series Harry Potter makes it interesting and comical. i suggest that if u are a Potternerd, Potterhead, or a lover of Harry Potter, that you read this book. add your own side notes along side Harry's Ron's and Hermionie's so you can be involved too!

It was great I truly felt like I was in the Hogwarts Library while reading it! I love all the notes that have been written on the sides of the pages by all our friends at Hogwarts! This lets you learn about many of the creatures that we hear about in the books to understand what they do.
