Synopsis

Psychic chills and thrills in a deserted Maine beach town from the author of Twenty-Five Years Ago Today, Sink or Swim, and Face-Off. It’s hard enough for Dawn hiding that she’s a teen psychic from her new classmates and new step-family, but things get even worse after she learns that ESP spells D-A-N-G-E-R. When Dawn gets involved with a fortuneteller mentor and two girls who share her mysterious talents, she finally belongs after years of being a misfit. When she learns her new friends may be tied to freak "accidents" in town, Dawn has an important choice to make - continue developing the talent that makes her special or challenge the only people who have ever accepted her.

This novel is appropriate for young adults ages 12 and up, or adults, and contains an excerpt from Stacy Juba's classic young adult family hockey novel Face-Off.

Reviews:

A spooky and fast moving plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the shocking end...Dark Before Dawn is a special book that should not be missed. Fresh Fiction

Dark Before Dawn is a choice pick for those seeking works of modern fantasy and ESP. The Midwest Book Review

I was truly taken with this book...it takes a great plot to really stump and throw the reader off and Juba did an awesome job of keeping me interested. Shadow Kisses

This is a young adult novel, but I can tell you that as an adult I was completely drawn into the story and anxious to see how it would all end...Stacy has an easy way of writing that draws you into her stories and keeps you there. Peeking Between the Pages
