There's so much power behind this story. Whether you are a young teenager going through angst or an adult recovering from harsh tomes, Crank will make you feel something in the pit of your gut. It's a story that had me reading non stop til I flipped the last page.

Amazing book! I have re-read this book (and subsequent series) about a dozen times. She writes her books in such a unique way that it pulls you in and every time you read it its like reading a new book. I have now read all of Ellen Hopkins books and continue to look forward to every new book she releases.

This was the first Ellen Hopkins verse novel I read and I was impressed. The author weaves a heart-wrenching story of a young girl who gets addicted to drugs and the effect addiction has on the people closest to her. I was mesmerized by Ellen Hopkins' use of verse. Certain pages were written to be re-read in a different fashion, giving you hidden glimpses of the story. I just couldn't put the book down.
