Synopsis

They call him BoneMan, a serial killer who's abducted six young women. He's the perfect father looking for the perfect daughter, and when his victims fail to meet his lofty expectations, he kills them by breaking their bones and leaving them to die.

Intelligence officer Ryan Evans, on the other hand, has lost all hope of ever being the perfect father. His daughter and wife have written him out of their lives.

Everything changes when BoneMan takes Ryan's estranged daughter, Bethany, as his seventh victim. Ryan goes after BoneMan on his own.

But the FBI sees it differently. New evidence points to the suspicion that Ryan is BoneMan. Now the hunter is the hunted, and in the end, only one father will stand.

BoneMan's Daughters - Bad

I managed to finish it but it was NOT a good book. There was too much text devoted to reflection ('thinking' text) and too much reference to war.

Just ok

Although the storyline kept me interested enough to finish reading it, there were many parts of the book that were immature in the wording used and parts that could have been written in a different, not so obvious, way.

Once you started skipping all the introspective thoughts of the characters I was an ok book. He has defiantly written better, but the constant droning on of self thought got old. It was an interesting idea and I get the connection between God and us, I just wish it was more along the lines of Three, Skin, The circle books.

Mostly enjoyed

I really liked the flow of the book for the most part. However, there were some places that I felt dismayed that the author chose the path he did for some characters; for example, some characterizations of some characters just did not ring true to me. In other places, the story got bogged down by the repetitious description of nonsensical emotions of the main character. The storyline itself made for a great read, and for the most part, I did enjoy the book.
