Synopsis

"Angel Without A Soul", the first book in the "Angel Without A Soul" series by Angelika Thorsdottir. An Action/Thriller.

My name is Angelika. I'm an advocate for abused and neglected women and children. I step in when the system fails those who need help the most. The work is hard. Often it gets dangerous, and sometimes people get dead. I make sure it's the bad guys whenever I can. Sure, it's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. That somebody is usually me. That's why they call me the angel without a soul.

When I decided to take down a wife-beating state senator in the most public and humiliating way possible, he got mad. When I caused him to miss out on what he thought would be an evening of hanky-panky, he got madder. But when he saw I was going to cause him to lose his bid for re-election, he decided I had to die. He and his four armed goons came after me, and things began to
But most of that happened after the wives of a bigamist took exeption to me testifying in a case against him, and locked me in a dungeon. They planned to keep me there until dear hubby got out of jail and could take care of me himself. Little did they know how deadly that dungeon was. Not that they cared.

ME:
Armed with a masters degree in psychology, I joined the FBI, only to be invited to resign four years later, despite having the highest bad-guy-off-the-street ratio in the Bureau. Maybe they didn't like the body count. After adding a law degree from Harvard, I found myself inexplicably unemployable, so I set up my own shyster shop as an advocate for endangered women and children. The SEC believes I'm a criminal because I make megabucks in trading. The IRS doesn't trust me because I always pay the maximum tax possible. Everybody wants my millions. Women envy my beauty and my freedom. Men crave my body. But the devil already owns my soul.

The names in my books have been changed to protect the guilty. Especially me. Some locales and geophysical descriptions may have been whimsically switched with others, just so you won't ever be able to find me. Most of the facts are lies. Most of the lies are half-truths, but a few truths are truly true. It's up to you to figure it out, if you can. But don't ask me anything more, because I just might answer you, and then I would have to kill you. Trust me on that.

My name is Angelika. Or whatever.
