A view into the life of an icon

Carole King has written a good, insightful book about her life. I really enjoyed her stories of her relationships and experiences with musicians, family, touring and being an activist. She includes the tough times as well as the sweet moments, and that makes it a very authentic book. Well worth reading, especially if you know a bit of the music history back then. A lot of the famous names were barely known to me. I think it would mean even more to those who recognized more of the promotors and sidemen.
