Adventure is in Tory Brennan's blood. After all, she’s the grandniece of world-famous forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. Always up for a challenge, Tory and her science-geek friends spend their time exploring the marshlands of Loggerhead Island, home to the very off-limits Loggerhead Island Research Institute, where something strange is going on. After rescuing a stray wolfdog pup from a top-secret lab, Tory and her friends are exposed to a rare strain of canine parvovirus, changing them--and their DNA--forever. Now they are more than friends. They are a pack. They are Virals. And they're dangerous to the core. But are they unstoppable enough to catch a cold-blooded murderer?

This is a great read for the younger crowd, children of the Bones fans. It is a fast paced story with mystery and intrigue along with a little fantasy.

I read this one because I am a huge Kathy Reichs fan. Although it is geared to the teen crowd, I was once again hooked from the beginning. I am 54 years old.

Even though this book was written for teens, I found it really well written and lots of "adult" stuff in there as well...I will be reading this series for sure right along side Kathy Reichs Temperence Brennan series for sure!!!

Great story. I guess I was expecting it to be a bit more like a Temperance Brennan novel. Was a good read, little far fetched. I could see younger readers enjoying this book more.
