Synopsis

The Sheik is a book by Edith Maude Hull, an English novelist of the early twentieth century. It is similar to many of her other books, but it was her most popular and was the basis for the film of the same name starring Rudolph Valentino in the title role. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sheik_(novel)

I loved it - always have. But I thought it had been written originally by Barbara Cartland years ago.

I loved the setting and the way the author brought the story to life. Would recommended as a good day's read.

Ghosts of Valentino throughout
December 22nd, 2013
I saw this 1920's film starring Rudolph Valentino many years ago and absolutely fell in love with the story and the romance. When I found this book I had to read it. Like the literature of its time it is long winded but I found it enjoyable. I am really glad that I took the time to read it.
