Synopsis

“Terrific pace, surprises galore….Move over Jack Reacher, here comes The Bricklayer.”
 —James Patterson

There is a brand new master on the thriller scene. Noah Boyd makes a truly spectacular entrance with The Bricklayer—the first in an explosive new series featuring former FBI agent Steve Vail that recalls the #1 bestsellers of John Sandford and Lee Child. An ex-FBI agent himself, Boyd adds gritty insider knowledge and color to this stunning novel, and the word on the street is The Bricklayer is fabulous. Kay Scarpetta’s creator, New York Times bestseller Patricia Cornwell, calls it, “Dazzling,” while Lee Child himself raves, “Non-stop action and non-stop authenticity make this a real winner.”

    Bricklayer

This book was a very cool find for me. Same genre as Lee Child. Im so sorry to hear that Noah Boyd is deceased. I will certainly be reading Agent X. I love the Jack Reacher series and tho most writers who try to do what Child does fail miserably, Boyd has the chemistry to pull it off. Im sure he would have been just as good after a couple of more novels to further develop the character Steve Vail. This writer had real talent and got my attention from page 1. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

    Tough guy

This protagonist can easily be compared to another popular literary and film hero... a wandering ex-military tough guy... but the bricklayer shows more restraint. Well developed characters... believable, interesting and realistic. You won't want to put it down. Suspense to keep you up till the wee hours.

    The bricklayer

Suspense from beginning to end. I found myself trying to solve the case right alongside the characters!
