Sybil was written by Benjamin Disraeli, future Prime Minister of Great Britain. He was greatly concerned with the poverty of the working classes, and this novel, with its in-depth exploration of those conditions, expressed and circulated his ideas.

    Excellent descriptions

Vivid descriptions of landscape and beauty. Action is well invoked. Characters are well formed. Voices of author, narrator and plot mingle throughout. Captures opinions of the three classes but a little fragmented. Simply written and interspersed with dialogue. Well worth the read.
