Kindred of the Dust by Peter B. Kyne is one of the fiction best sellers in 1922, based on which an American silent film directed by Raoul Walsh is made. The author, Peter B. Kyne was an American novelist who wrote between 1904 and 1940. Many of his works were adapted into screenplays starting in the silent era.
Discovering that her husband is a bigamist, Nan returns with her child to her Puget Sound logging town. She is treated as an outcast by all save Donald, her childhood sweetheart who happens to be the son of a millionaire. Their romance is thwarted by his parents, but after she nurses him to recovery from an apparently fatal illness they are married. The subsequent arrival of a son prompts a family reconciliation.
