As a writer, I found this book incredibly helpful. I don't write erotica, not even close, but sex is something that affects all my characters. This isn't a manual on how to write the karma sutra, it is a well thought out collection of essays on the subject of writing sex, and tha steps leading to it. It's something even non-erotica authors can benefit from.
