Evil Wives focuses on the horrible crimes committed by women. Included are those such as Rosemary West, Myra Hindley and Karla Homolka who engaged with their partners in the most horrific crimes, as well as those who preyed upon their spouses or fiancés. Among the 36 murderers covered are: Pamela Smart - a volunteer at a high school drug awareness program, who urged her 15-year-old lover and his friends to kill her husband; Kathleen Folbigg convicted in the deaths of her four infant children; Nancy Kissel, an expatriate American living in Hong Kong, who served her investment banker husband a strawberry milkshake laced with drugs, then clubbed him to death with a small statue; Celeste Beard whose husband was disembowelled by her lesbian lover. Lavishly illustrated, this is an indispensable introduction to the darker side of life, revealing the often strange and grisly stories behind the world's most infamous women killers.

It was alright but almost all of these women have been featured in every other book out there on female killers.

Meh, brief and unimpressive.

An OK read although the articles could each be a little longer and give greater details of the crimes and facts surrounding them. Whilst a compendium of many different crimes makes it difficult to go into lengthy details, at times there seems to be 'a little bit missing' which would have made each story much fuller. However still a good variety of international cases from Europe, America and Australia which only goes to show that 'Evil Wives' are everywhere....... All husbands beware - - you may be next!!
