A mediocre end to an extremely enjoyable ride

The last book of the Hutch series is definitely worth the wait if the journey is what excites you the most. The writing itself has shown to be about par for Jack and there are just enough characters abound to make it full yet not overwhelming. I have the physical copy of the book and have to say the hunt for this was most thrilling given how much I enjoyed Odyssey. Sad to say though, the reason for my giving it a less than 4-star rating is once I finished the book, the end left much to be desired for me (i.e. "That was it?"). I wanted more out of the ending and given the next book is actually a prequel to the series left me disappointed. Still, it wasn't enough to detract from the fact the story itself was enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone to complete their Hutch collection as long as they remember why they enjoyed the series to begin with.
