Worth a read, but not a masterpiece.

Good story, but the author needs to learn the difference between Hangar and Hanger (the later being used through book 1 and 2 of the series and driving me nuts). Though the story is enjoyable, it would have benefitted from a few more plot twists. The characters are enjoyable, but not memorable. I also question why there would be no women in the army - ok they can't teleport, but there are all sorts of other positions - gunners, medics, engineers etc. that dont need to teleport in order to fit in. is the society just Mysoginistic? I guess so. I'm a man, but I just think it is silly to model your society on these same gender stereotypes that are changing within our own society.
