By the time Laura Munson had turned 40, her life was not how she thought it would turn out. Career success had eluded her; her beloved father was no longer around to be her biggest cheerleader; and her husband wanted out of their marriage.

Poignant, wise, and often exceedingly funny, this is the moment-by- moment memoir of a woman who decided to let go-in the midst of the emotional equivalent of a Category 5 hurricane. It recounts what happened as Munson set out on her spiritual journey-and provides raw, powerful inspiration to anyone searching for peace in an utterly unpredictable world.

A story that keeps on giving
May 26th, 2015
Laura's story of her summer of emotional hell is unfolds like a novel. It is impossible to put down and keeps you in suspense to know the end - that interestingly Laura herself does not know since she is writing this story as it is happening to her. Her grace at dealing with painful attacks and verbal abuse from her husband-in-crisis is worth taking notes on. Laura's skills have inspired me to try out her methods on painful events in my own life and to try to see behind the actions. I find myself thinking of her as a friend and ally, and often wondering 'what would Laura do here'. This is not a self-help book, but the story gives you a lot to think about even weeks after putting it down.

A fresh, bright and cogent view on a difficult subject fraught with stumbling blocks. It was on its way a cliffhanger - and most of all truthful and heartfelt. Thank you Laura Munson for this inspiring book which knows what matters.
