Synopsis

‘Once Avera was vanquished, the essence was passed to her daughter. Her daughter’s name was Mira Dominio.’ Alizé’s heart imploded in her chest. Mira Dominio! ‘I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, Alizé, but the Sorceress is your mother.’ Alizé had heard enough. ‘My mother is dead . . . How dare you . . . you . . . you . . . witch!’ And Al turned on her heel and stormed out. She slammed the rickety door so hard so that many of the antique portraits on the walls came off their supports and crashed to the floor. Eddy jumped up and attempted to go after Al. Evanesca grabbed his hand. ‘Leave her,’ the Seer demanded. ‘I’m not leaving her. She’s upset.’ Eddy pulled free and pulled the door open, but it suddenly slammed shut. He turned around; the Seer lowered her hand. ‘She will heal . . . Please,’ she said, ‘there is something I must tell you both.’
