“Great fun . . . marvelous and fantastic adventures, romance, sex . . . perfect escape reading.”—San Francisco Chronicle, on Outlander

The year is 1946. Claire Randall is a British ex-combat nurse on a postwar second honeymoon with her husband in the Scottish Highlands. Walking alone one afternoon, she passes through a circle of standing stones and is hurled back in time to a Scotland simmering with war in the year of our Lord 1743. Catapulted into an intrigue of rival clans and rising armies that threatens her life, she’s obliged to wed James Fraser, a gallant young Scots warrior, as the only way to survive. Thus begins a series of unrivaled storytelling that has become a modern classic. This bundle includes:

OUTLANDER
DRAGONFLY IN AMBER
VOYAGER
DRUMS OF AUTUMN
THE FIERY CROSS
A BREATH OF SNOW AND ASHES
AN ECHO IN THE BONE

“Diana Gabaldon is a born storyteller . . . the pages practically turn themselves.”—The Arizona Republic, on Dragonfly in Amber

“A feast for ravenous readers of eighteenth-century Scottish history, heroism, and romance.”—Kirkus Reviews, on Outlander

Outlandish 7 book series
January 9th, 2015
I have a hard time finding a book series that will keep me interested, but this one has. I was a little disappointed at the beginning of the 2nd book, but pressed on and I'm glad I did. Having faces to put with the names, thanks to the Outlander series on Stars, I've been able to see this series as well as read it. I'm excited to see how it all plays out on tv as well as in the series.

I have read each of Diana Gabaldon's books and I just can't say enough good things about them. She really has a way of making the reader feel like you are really IN the story and seeing things as they're happening. I get lost the books. I am currently in the process of reading the Outlander series for the third time. Each time I read it I find something new. I have learned so much about Scotland and the American Revolution from this series. My dream is to someday take a trip the the Scottish Highlands.

Diana Gabaldon's talent for writing takes a person on a journey they might never have traveled. How Diana uses words to describe, or cause us to laugh is unlike any other author before her. My daughter and I are addicted to the Outlander Series. This is the first time I was ever excited about a series of books by one Author. The love between Claire and Jamie is refreshing compared to so many other romances.

This is my favourite writer. Her details are marvelous and you always feel you are right there!!! Waiting patiently for the next book in the Outlander series, and hoping they will make them into movies soon. Seen some of these short trailers on you tube! The details are wonderful from different countries as the stories unford. Teach you some history and questions your mind! The characters are real with weakness's and failures and enduring love of family and bridging the time leaps from one generation to another and weaving in and out the different characters and stories. What can I say I LOVE THEM!!!!

So tempted to buy this bundle even though I have them all in hard copies! Best series I have ever read - it's got a little of everything! Romance, history, intrigue, fantasy...I am always sad when I get to the end of one of these books.

This, in my opinion is an outstanding series for anyone who enjoys fiction, romance, magic, and a dash of history on the side. The first few books are utterly captivating with its unique story line, but towards the end of the series it does become repetitive.

I read these when they first came out. The writing is well done and the story intense. The insight into History of the "New World" is exceptional. I don't usually read Romance, but these had great story content.

GREAT idea to have the bundle. It's a story that you want to keep reading and reading and not have to stop. The only problem is stopping to do the normal things in life...eat...sleep..work, etc, etc. Just keeps me wanting more and more of Claire and Jamie and their families.

Five +++!! Have been a reader all my life and have never, ever been more captivated by a story than I was by the Outlander Series. CANNOT WAIT for the last book to come out in December 2013. Every book was spell binding. I became a character in the book and felt like I knew, personally, every character. Her writing is just wonderful and, being Scottish, was impressed how historically correct her novels were. Am hoping and hoping that this will NOT be the last book...want Jamie and Claire to be in my life for a few more years.
