Synopsis

Coming Soon: The New Book in the Millennium Series!

Part blistering espionage thriller, part riveting police procedural, and part piercing exposé on social injustice, The Girl Who Played with Fire is a masterful, endlessly satisfying novel.

Mikael Blomkvist, crusading publisher of the magazine Millennium, has decided to run a story that will expose an extensive sex trafficking operation. On the eve of its publication, the two reporters responsible for the article are murdered, and the fingerprints found on the murder weapon belong to his friend, the troubled genius hacker Lisbeth Salander. Blomkvist, convinced of Salander’s innocence, plunges into an investigation. Meanwhile, Salander herself is drawn into a murderous game of cat and mouse, which forces her to face her dark past.

Outstanding book! A little slow at first with all the Swedish names and such but after you get through all of that it really turns into a you can't put it down thriller. I am immediately downloading the third of the trilogy,The girl who kicked the hornets nest. I'm hooked.

Excellent Sequel to "Dragon Tattoo"

The 2nd book in this trilogy is sufficiently well-crafted to stand on its own without the "prequel". Can't wait to read the 3rd book.

Begins slow and goes into great detail even listing grocery purchases. But after the first hundred pages you are caught up in a page turner. Interesting note that the people seem to come alive as if you are part of the drama!

You only feel very sorry that Stieg Larsson did not see the impulse, his books generated and that one won't be reading any more of them... :-(
