Synopsis

"Christmas, Colorado, will get you in the spirit for love all year long." --- Jill Shalvis, New York Times bestselling author

Surviving the holidays will take a Christmas miracle . . .
Ex-cop Cat O'Connor is bored working for her sister, Chloe, as a personal assistant on the set of her soap opera. Until Chloe gets an opportunity to audition for the role of a lifetime and asks her identical twin to substitute for her on the soap with no one the wiser. It's a perfect switch-until Cat attracts the attention of the mysterious Mr. Tall, Dark, and Way-too-handsome leading man.

Grayson Alexander never thought being snowbound in the charming town of Christmas, Colorado, for the holiday would get so hot. But between working with sexy, tough Cat on set and keeping his real reason for being there under wraps, he's definitely feeling the heat. And if there's one thing they'll learn as they bring out the mistletoe, it's that in this town, true love is always in season . . .

Exciting Christmas Romance
October 15th, 2015
This Christmas romance has a nice dash of suspense that really made it pop. It still has plenty of Christmas charm and some incredibly sweet scenes. Cat is an odd mix of tough and push-over. She's willing to do anything her bratty sister asks - and she asks a lot. Chloe is a total brat and I really disliked her. I almost understood why someone might want to get rid of her! But with Cat watching out for her, she doesn't need anything else. But then Grayson arrives on the scene. He throws an even bigger wrench in the whole Cat and Chloe relationship. With Chloe convinced he's going to be her new boyfriend, Cat being the prime suspect in his case, and a general craziness of everyone around them, Cat and Grayson aren't sure they were ever meant to be. There are a good number of laughs mixed in with the very well written suspenseful moments. The only draw back was at times it got just a little too silly and Chloe was just a little too - too much. I flat out didn't like her one bit. And the fact that Chloe didn't step up to her and tell her how it was, made me like Chloe just a bit less as well. Overall, this has been one of the best Christmas romances so far this year - it just needed to be reigned in a tad. *The book was received in exchange for an honest review*

Enjoyable Christmas mystery
October 12th, 2015
"Snowbound at Christmas" is a fun an entertaining read and a great addition to Debbie Mason's Christmas in Colorado series. Cat O'Connor is an ex-cop who despises her job as her twin sister Chloe's assistant and bodyguard. Chloe, isn't anything like Cat, she is spoiled and expects to get here way all the time and for everyone to bow down to her since she is a big soap opera star. Cat has had it with her sister and her ways and is ready to quit working for her when an attempt is made on Chloe's life. Grayson Alexander is a FBI agent, working undercover Chloe's soap opera, trying to identify who is trying to kill her. The one things he never thought he would uncover was the sexy and tough twin sister Cat. Now between working with Cat and trying to keep his real identity a secret he is in for one hot Christmas shakedown. As with most identical twins, Cat and Chloe have done their share or role swapping with no one being the wiser. When Chloe wants to audition for a role that could change her future, Cat steps in for her on the soap opera. Cat never dreamed playing the role of her sister would be so great until the day she met Gray on set but when accidents and notes keep popping up on the set it is up to Cat to find out who is behind the threats. This is my first Debbie Mason book and I am hooked. It has just the right amount of romance and mystery to make this holiday book a delightful read. I received an eARC compliment of the publisher via NetGalley for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

Sweet romance with a bit of mystery
October 7th, 2015
It was great to be back in Christmas, Colorado! Cat and Greyson had some obvious chemistry from the start, unfortunately the threat against her twin sister Chloe creates some roadblocks for them. I loved that Greyson was able to really see Cat and was able to tell her and Chloe apart - after of course a brief period where he thought he might be falling for Chloe as well. There is a little bit of tension created by the secrets they are both keeping, but once they come out, they move past it with very little drama. Speaking of drama, Chloe might be the biggest drama queen ever! I hated the way she treated Chloe and manipulated her family. Even though she tried to redeem herself in the end, I don't know that I could see her in a positive light. It was great to catch up with previous couples and I look forward to the next book. I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Fun in Christmas
October 6th, 2015
I finished the first book in this series not long ago and it was an absolutely entertaining read and set my expectations quite high for this installment. I love the town of Christmas, Colorado and its colorful, funny, nosy and generally friendly inhabitants. Catching up with the lives of characters from previous books was fun, but this story has its own fair share of fun and likable characters. After the painful loss of her job, Cat O’Connor took on the role of personal assistant and all-round gopher to her actress twin sister but lacking the challenge she needs, Cat is about to quit, until the accidents begin to happen and it becomes clear to her that her sister's life is in danger. Now Cat has to put her plans on hold until the person responsible is caught. FBI agent Grayson Alexander is undercover as British royalty and an actor on the set of Cat's sister's movie, expecting to spend a few days investigating the threats to Chloe's life and then continuing with his postponed vacation plans , but nothing is going according to plan. Faced with high maintenance stars, his difficult grandmother and an investigation that's not yielding any information, the only bright light for Grayson is Cat. Cat is feisty, tough, loyal and gorgeous to look at and he falls hard for her. Too bad, because Grayson has to maintain his cover and pretend to be attracted to Chloe in order to find the bad guy. Grayson is attractive and his accent puts him in very hot territory but he's also sweet and thoughtful but my favorite character is Ty. His antics and nicknames for everyone were too funny. Chloe is a real piece of work. Overly dramatic and an attention-seeker, she was loath to share the spotlight with anyone, not her co-stars and most definitely not her twin. I'm not sure that I have ever disliked a book character more than I did her and I'm almost feeling sorry for the poor guy who'll take her on. In fact, I felt that Cat had given her one too many chances and really wished she had stood up for herself early enough, but then again, their bond as twins meant that Cat would always be there for her. With all the accidents on set, the decision is made to continue shooting at the girls' hometown of Christmas, just in time for the holiday season and Cat hopes that the extra hands and eyes back home would help keep Chloe safe. Well, Christmas is the perfect location for the capers and chaos that ensure and the result is so many funny moments, it's hard to even pick a favorite. And the season provides the perfect backdrop for romance - snowy days and warm nights by the fire. SNOWBOUND AT CHRISTMAS was so much fun to read and even though it was not my favorite of the series, it is still a great addition. A year round good time...
September 21st, 2015
Have not come across a twin swapping story since I was a teen reading Sweet Valley High. Cat and Chloe may be sisters but that is where the connection ends. Cat is responsible, serious and level headed. Chloe is a selfish, rude, bratty attention seeker. Cat is out of her element. Working and living in her sister's shadow is not something she enjoys. Snowbound at Christmas is an adventure inside a story. There are twists around every corner, revealing secrets and interesting characters to follow along the way. There are references to the Christmas season but Debbie Mason has written a story that can be enjoyed all year round. I received an ARC of Snowbound at Christmas in exchange for an honest review.
