Synopsis

There is no more pervasive and destructive illusion facing humankind than the one that attributes shame to an event cause. Whether this event is one as subtle as an inattention or slight, or one so great that it causes embarrassment, humiliation, guilt, or the feel of being disrespected, shame is now clearly shown by R.J Chuck to actually be the product of the unsatisfied Primary Interpersonal Need...that essentially, whenever we look externally toward people for the satisfaction of this need, or even toward some external perception of God to help us gain the satisfaction of this need from people, we will continue suffering shame in either case. In other words, we will never be able to "do" or "not-do" our way unto an eradication of shame and the satisfaction of this foremost interpersonal need. R.J. Chuck also reveals that the story of the Bible, beginning in the Garden of Eden, is actually an account of God's numerous attempts to teach us that shame is, and has always been, the Mechanism of Redirection unto THE PERSON within us...and that the way to the complete destruction of the feel all forms of shame is only achieved through the establishment of Personal Relationship with the PERSON within us.
