Synopsis

From New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh comes the next contemporary romance in the Rock Kiss series…

Kit Devigny could have loved rock guitarist Noah St. John. Their friendship burned with the promise of intense passion and searing tenderness…until the night Noah deliberately shattered her heart.

Noah knows he destroyed something precious the night he chose to betray Kit, but he’d rather she hate him than learn his darkest secret. All he has left is his music. It’s his saving grace, but it doesn’t silence the voices that keep him up at night. Chasing oblivion through endless one-night-stands, he earns a few hours’ sleep and his bad boy reputation.

When a media error sees Noah and Kit dubbed the new “it” couple, Kit discovers her chance at the role of a lifetime hinges on riding the media wave. Wanting—needing—to give Kit this, even if he can’t give her everything, Noah agrees to play the adoring boyfriend. Only the illusion is suddenly too real, too painful, too beautiful…and it may be too late for the redemption of Noah St. John.

Loved Noah's story
October 7th, 2015
*** Gifted in exchange for an honest review *** I have been waiting for Kit and Noah's Book after a glimpse of them in the other books, and Nalini has done it again, now there are some reviewers that are saying that its not 'Romancy' enough or they DNF, but I guess that just shows that there are so many different readers out there, because I LOVED IT!! I read this book while I was away for the weekend, relaxing in the spa with Noah... In bed late at night with Noah... #Sigh This is a book of ups and downs, when Noah deliberately shattered Kit's heart she was crushed, and on top of that having a stalker, she's not had a great time of late. Noah is a man whore who is trying to silence the demons by having one-night-stands, where he may just pass out for a few hours before the nightmares are back in force. Kit has never gotten over Noah, and has stayed close to the band, and when a late night call gets her worried, she runs to Noah's side. The Paparazzi snap them together at a function that Kit attends with him as a friend, but they say 'the camera never lies' and when the media sees them they are hailed as the new “it” romance, #NoKats is trending and when Kit's future movie deal ends up being hinged on this romance, Noah sees a chance to get close and try fix what he broke, Kits trust and heart. Soon the Bad Boy of Rock is hoping for a miracle - Redemption and a hope of his very own happy ever after. I loved every word in this book, its a slow burn romance where Noah slowly lets Kit in through the walls built up since he was a child. I don't do spoilers - and I HATE it when reviews do give away plot clues. I did have an idea of what happened to Noah as a kid, and I think Nalini has done a lovely job at creating the scenario and the consequences that happen after, It couldn't be an insta love story line because of this, and I also think that the subplot was done well too, I had no idea who the stalker was until Nalini slipped in the clues! I will be waiting on baited breath for the next book - Abe and Sarah will be another couple with a rocky road to a HEA... if they even get one! (fingers crossed!!!) This series has grown in strength since the first book, and I am now a fan of Nalini's Contemporary works as well as her Paranormal series #shesMyNoI. Thank you to Nalini and the Publishers for allowing my blog to review this book

A journey of discovery to delight the reader!
October 7th, 2015
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, which I am more than happy to share. First of all, let me qualify that I love this series. These Schoolboys are all complex, passionate, full of heart and caring, and finally interesting as *heck*. Noah has been the mystery bad boy all along. Finally getting his story is definitely a treat. If you ever or know someone who felt unworthy to love someone, you will understand what Noah is going through. He is deeply in love with Kit. He feels so guilty and damaged from what happened during his childhood, he cannot even consider he is worthy of loving and being loved by Kit. This story is about Kit's perseverance to stand by the man she loves, the friend she will stand by no matter what. Without judging him, she continues to probe his mind hoping he will finally trust her enough to tell her his story. Their up and down platonic relationship is full of hope and anticipation of the dream that might be. If these two characters could get over the obstacles, their love affair would be over the top. Throw in a persistent stalker who pursues Kit and terrorizes her, and you have a story you will not soon forget. The writing is impeccable. I love this fast pacing, straight to the heart writing that takes you deeply into the souls of the characters. A journey of discovery to delight the reader!
