Adults think of childhood as a carefree time, but the truth is that children worry, and worry a lot, especially in our highly pressurized era. This book addresses children's worries with humor and imagination, as hilarious scenarios teach kids the use of perspective and the art of creative problem-solving.

I Wish I Had This When I Was a Kid
January 21st, 2015
**I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review.** I should start this review out by saying that I suffer from anxiety and worry. I have since I was a kid. And when I was a kid there was nothing like this to help me cope. I pity my mom for going through it with no resources available to her that put Anxiety and Worry into simple easy to understand terms for children. I requested this book knowing that I could use it with my own kids who (though i hope dont) will likely deal with worry at some point in there young lives. This book is the perfect solution. I love the clever examples, and the matching illustrations. I loved trying to find the worry monster through out the book. I will be picking up the solid book copy of this as soon as I can and it will be added to our growing library of stories. It calms me some to know that if I need the help and back up with dealing with these issues I have it in the form of a book that gives a face and feeling to what my kids are going through. I hope this book can bring them the same peace of mind it brought me.
