Tracey Holmes-Briggs is a successful on-air Radio Personality. She has a keen eye for fashion, and a flare for style. This well educated sister from Zeta Phi Beta sorority has her masters degree in Broadcasting and is married to entertainment lawyer Marlon Briggs. Being active in her local church and community, Tracey is loved and admired by the everyday women in her town, especially her three best friends. Then there’s Nicole Cooper, an office manager who finds solace in her family and simply “living life”. She is married to Brian Cooper, a blue-collared factory worker who believes in cutting corners whenever, wherever and however possible. Now meet Theresa Fuller, the bossy social worker that is married to Kenneth Fuller, a cook at Red Lobster Restaurant that has major jealousy issues. He’s well over the top actually. She believes that they would perhaps have “the perfect marriage” if it were not for Kenneth’s Insecurities. Finally there’s Valerie Davis, the overly dramatic paralegal who has a fear of marriage to real estate broker and on-again, off-again boyfriend Michael Scott. These four BFF’S get together often at their book club, which is really their excuse to have a “ladies night”. This time is usually consumed with them discussing the issues within their marriages/relationships over a glass of wine, or 2. These meetings usually convene at Tracey’s home, which is right upstairs from her grandparents’s corner store market. Tracey is usually the voice of wisdom and reason in the group because of the strong values instilled during her upbringing by her grandparents. Her advice is usually sound and right. But things begin to take a slightly different turn as Tracey finds herself on the receiving end this time, and must learn lessons of her won.
