Synopsis

When a Rock Star in Disguise meets a Billionaire in hiding, music and violence clash.

Georgie doesn’t know who she is dating.

At a high society wedding, Georgie Johnson is introduced to Alexandre de Valentinois, a hereditary duke of nothing who flies around the world on his private planes and describes himself as “one of those despicable, idle rich men.” Yet, when pressed, he sings at the wedding in a gorgeous, clear tenor that tugs at Georgie’s soul, and miraculously, he calms her paralyzing stage fright so she can accompany him on the piano, even though she thought she had left her classical music career behind when she went into hiding.

But Alexandre has a dark side. His name is Xan Valentine, and he’s the rock star front man for Killer Valentine. He’s famous, but his paparazzi-dogged lifestyle might get Georgie killed.

some BDSM
May 9th, 2016
With every breath she took she had to keep running. She was scared and had a past that she couldn’t share with anyone. Secrets kept her running lies kept her safe until she met Alex. Excitement, intrigue romance and a touch of BDSM round out this story that isn’t all about sex but about people letting go, protecting, nurturing, music, creating, healing, being set free, there’s even some Russian mob too boot. A very serious and soul searching story that warms the soul and aptly named.

Fabulous!!
February 16th, 2015
Every Breath You Take by Blair Babylon, the first book by this author for me but OMG it is definitely not the last. It was an amazing journey of two people who were so lost that they needed to find each other in order to heal. The book oozed heart and passion from ever page, it was as if it was travelling through my fingers to touch my very soul – I’m gobsmacked at how I feel about it! It showed more than I thought I was going to get it gave me love and passion in absolute bin loads and moreover it was full of desire, hope, longing, honesty and devotion – not just from the characters but from the author also because her devotion to her craft was clearly evident in this book – she nailed it!! Being asked to play, off the cuff at her friend’s wedding is almost too much for Georgie but she has a guardian angel in her midst – the beautifully named stranger - Alexandre de Valentinois. His soothing tone and calming words ease her mind and her nerves and she finds that the passion she has fought for so long begins to rise to the surface again. Georgie isn’t looking for a relationship, in fact she isn’t looking for anything but she can’t help herself when it comes to the man that has the ability to sooth her soul. Alexandre was every bit as exotic and mysterious as you could imagine but he has secrets, things that lurked deep within him and that no matter how hard he tried he may never be able to bury completely, but if they meant that Georgie was in danger, would he be able to protect her or would he have to stay away? Fate has its reasons for the hands that we are dealt in life and while as individuals both Alexandre and Georgie were amazing, it was the character that they each held within that drew me to them. They were beautiful, creative individuals who were the complete compliment to each other, two halves of the same whole as some would say. It was as if they had no control over the draw that their souls had to each other. They were merely along for the ride. As much as they tried to fight the feelings so to speak neither of them had a choice. Georgie was that Alexandre was quickly becoming central to everything good in her life and Alexandre was determined that he was to follow his heart and that he would never let her go. Quantifying their feelings was not possible – they just felt and for that you had to admire the fact that they were prepared to accept their fate and love completely. After finishing the book, I have to say that Blair Babylon is a rare find, one that’s ability to weave magic with her words leaves you in little doubt that her level of talent is not easily come by.

An absolute great meld of 2 series - I am addicted
February 16th, 2015
*** I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and as part of the Release tour on my Blog katsbookpromotions *** Let me first say WOW... I am seriously addicted to Blair Babylon books her imagination whether it be Crime, Rockstar or Billionaire, She creates a world where you are immersed with colourful and diverse characters and situations that you don't want to escape from, in fact after finishing this book I clicked on the Free copy link and downloaded Rae's story! I look forward to seeing what URBAN FANTASY she will deliver us soon :D I first got addicted to Blairs writing with What a Girl Wants and of course Zan was a character that got noticed and added to the 'Want to read his story" list. So when I got the request for the tour I jumped in and signed up. I had not read Blair's other series The Devilhouse Books: Rae where you first meet Georgie, but I did not find it hard to get to like these characters from this series, These characters are interesting enough on their own, but together, they just SHINE! I don't do spoilers so I am not going to say much other than to say that Georgie's father caused her to change her identity and alter her destiny, one minute she is in the rich club and studying classical music, but when her world comes crashing down (somewhere in the other series I guess) she swaps the privileged life and private music school for a new identity and goes to Law school, leaving her music career behind. Unfortunately that past life catches up to her, but shes always had an exit strategy and is ready to run, but when her BFF rings her up to say she must attend her Impromptu wedding in Paris, she decides that Paris maybe far enough away to loose the people who found her. At the wedding she meets Alexandre, now Alex has an alter ego, which Georgie has no idea about - Alex is non other than Xan Valentine, the Workaholic lead singer to the band Killer Valentine. Blair unravels Xan's layers for us in this book and we see the man behind the rock god, He has a very interesting past and now I can see why he was so distant in Rhiannon's story. As I said I haven't read the other series so even though Georgie maybe familiar to some readers, I didn't have a problem getting to know her, but I do look forward to exploring her character and learning how she came to be the person she is in this book by reading The Devilhouse series. The one thing I will recommend about buying a kindle version of some books is the extra facilities that the digital age has advantage over. This book is music themed, and Blair has taken full advantage of the option to Hyper-linking music videos in the book, which I LOVE!!! I do love classical music well some of it anyway and you get the chance to hear pieces that Georgie and Alex play, or love. Blair Babylon has a great talent when it comes to making her characters and places come to life and the writing is again excellent, this was an ARC I read and there were hardly any issues with it. heres one of my favourite descriptive bits: The deceptively office-like hallways of The Devilhouse meandered through the building like a labyrinth. Sometimes Georgie surmised that it was to confuse clients so they would be more vulnerable. Other times, she assumed that the architect mush have been dead drunk. I will admit I was drinking read wine at the time and my imagination just took flight with how the big house would be like a maze. Blair has a broad genre base in her writing which suits me down to the ground because I love reading lots of different genres - so I will be adding all the books to my TBR because I doubt I would be disappointed.

a breathtaking journey
February 16th, 2015
Every Breath You Take was an absolutely stunning and creatively passionate exploration of two lost and lonely people finding the missing part of their heart and soul in each other. What a breathtaking journey filled with unwanted hope, unwavering love, and unexpected devotion! This series is continuing with such a brilliant depth of heart and soul that I just can’t get enough of. I am definitely looking forward to more of these ground-breaking stories if they are anything like this one. Georgie is invited to the wedding of a very dear friend and then shocked when asked to play an impromptu performance with a complete stranger. His name is Alexandre de Valentinois, and he turns out to be her savior in more than one way. His insistent yet tender manner helps to calm her nerves and rejuvenate her love of music. She knows she can’t afford to get involved with anyone and yet there is something about him that calls to her like no other. The easy way in which he stokes the long frozen coals of her passion for music feels like forbidden magic and unimaginable bliss to her soul. Alexandre has his own dark secrets just like Georgie, but could his secrets put her life in even more danger? What are they each willing to sacrifice to follow their heart, and will they find what they need the most before it’s too late? I was utterly mesmerized by these two beautifully unique and amazing characters that brought out the best in each other. The held no expectations for each other, but even still, they managed to weave life and hope in the other’s soul. Their meeting may have seemed like an accident, but when fate brings together two hearts, nothing can get its way. No matter how much Georgie tried to rationalize how she felt towards Alexandre, she couldn’t deny how much he was quickly becoming a very good and important part of her life and her heart refused to let him go easily. The light, inspiration, and passion that Georgia brought into Alexandre’s life was not something he wanted to life without, and he made his intentions very well known to her. We need to come to a place in our lives where taking a risk in the name of love and life is necessary even if there is no way to justify it. Love cannot be justified, and it also cannot be lived without. Blair Babylon surprised me with the first book in this series starring Rhianna, and she took my breath away with Alexandre’s story. We came to see a very different and incredibly unforgettable side of the lead singer Xan. This story couldn’t have been more perfect, and I can’t wait to see whose story she writes about next! I am definitely becoming a fan of Blair and her unbelievable writing talent. She packs so much heart and soul into each story that she writes, and her talents only continue to improve with each new and brilliant story she creates.

5 Stars From Sammy's Book Obsession
February 16th, 2015
MY THOUGHTS~ I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review. I loved reading about Zan & Georgie! They are such interesting characters on their own, but together, they're just...wow! There will be more to their story though, of course, because this was just the beginning. No resolution or HEA, but no cliffy really either. I knew this going in though. The writing is great, as usual, and the characters are so well developed. Author Blair Babylon has extreme talent here. My only issue is not even with this book itself as much as with the series, or I should say series', I guess. I'm confused with how all these are suppose to go! I know there are some that don't technically have to be read in order, but I have no idea which one is which! I'm just lost here! Now, with Every Breath You Take, two series' are coming together! I will definitely be checking around for a "reading order" list. These books are great though, no doubt! You won't regret reading them -no matter where you jump in the series' at!

Georgie and Alex - 2 series together - 5 stars
February 14th, 2015
I have been patiently waiting for Georgie's story to be told and man, was I excited to find out that Xan was going to be a part of it. This way, I got more of both series/characters. There were hints in previous books that Xan was "more" than what he appeared to be and we finally learn what that something is. However, there are still things that I want to know about him, so I hope that information comes out in the next book. We also learn more about Georgie and how she knew Wulf's sister and how much he actually knew about her when he hired her to work at The Devilhouse. I love the way Blair has woven all of these stories together and we actually get to see what happened to certain characters during the same situation that we read about in other books (for example, in this book, we are back at the civil marriage of Wulf and Rae and leaving to go to the dinner when gunshots disrupt the process), which basically gives us an insight to what each character was feeling or thinking during the same timeframe. I absolutely LOVE Blair's writing and look forward to the next book to be released. There is so much more that I want to know about Xan and Georgie. You definitely want to read this series, but you can actually read this book as a stand alone and not be lost. Just be aware that there is a cliffhanger here. I'm sure that it will all be worth it in the end. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

I can’t wait for the next episode.
February 14th, 2015
I love Blair Babylon’s Billionaires/Rock Stars in Disguise series. This book ends with a cliffhanger, which I am usually not a fan of. I’m learning to make an exception to this though, for authors whose work I really love. I have read all of the other stories in the BID/RID series and loved them so I had to have this one as soon as I was offered an ARC to read. The BID: Rae, BID: Lizzy and BID/RID: Georgie/Xan stories all contain connected characters but each serial can also be read on its own. The blurb for this book is pretty accurate so I won’t rehash it. What I will say is that both Georgie and Alex/Xan have secrets that aren’t fully revealed in this episode. The story is very compelling and has some good sexy times. I love the way Blair describes things, and I was left with wanting more. I can’t wait for the next episode in Georgie’s story.

Excellent
February 14th, 2015
Excellent read with good strong characters. I like how the author has woven the two series together. Xan Valentine is running himself into the ground. During some forced time off he attends the wedding of a childhood friend and meets Georgie Johnson. She's in need of a little relaxation herself and things take off from there. She has no idea he is a big rock star and he has no idea she is running from a life that caused nothing but pain. This is a wild sexy story that is thoroughly entertaining. I definitely recommend it.

Every Breath...
February 6th, 2015
At a high society wedding, Georgie Johnson is introduced to Alexandre de Valentinois, a hereditary duke who happens to sing in a rock band – or should I say, his dark alter ego Xan Valentine is the front man for Killer Valentine. When these two meet at a wedding, and are pressed to perform together – he as a singer, she to accompany him on the piano – sparks go flying. Georgie left her classical music behind when she went into hiding, but realizes that our dear Alex brings out feelings she thought long gone. For neither of them, this seems to be the perfect timing to come together, but you can’t cheat on fait now, can you? She happens to be his muze, he appears to be her protector. I received this ARC for an honest comment but this time, I am not going to describe the rest of the book. That would be cheating on an incredible author – all that I am saying is that this is a book that fed a bunch of emotions with me: two kindred spirits who find each other through music, that’s what I call a modern Cinderella story. When it’s also beautifully written by a kind author…I can only recommend it to every reader out there. If you are into these sorts of light reads who happen to be beautifully written as well – it’s time you start reading “Every Breath You Take”…
