Synopsis

I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he’s gone.

He doesn’t understand and I can’t make him.

If only he’d see the conviction behind my words—then Liam would still be here.

    really not a 5-star book

I said the same thing for the first book - I don't know how this book has gotten so many 5-star ratings (here and elsewhere). The first book is decent, but not fantastic; this second book is entirely underwhelming. Not that much happens, it's totally predictable, and while I wanted them to be together, I found Liam's inner thoughts felt totally false (definitely a case of a woman writing a man's thoughts badly - totally not believable). Also, Liam was sometimes downright childish, which was a total turnoff to him and the book. I finished it as quickly as I could so I can move on. If you want to read 5-star authors, try Ruthie Knox, Sarina Bowen, Amy Jo Cousins, Meg Maguire/Cara McKenna, Amy Lane, or Heidi Cullinan. These are ladies who know how to write; no comparison.
