The New York Times bestselling series that inspired the international hit video game: The Witcher.

For over a century, humans, dwarves, gnomes, and elves have lived together in relative peace. But times have changed, the uneasy peace is over, and now the races are fighting once again. The only good elf, it seems, is a dead elf.

Geralt of Rivia, the cunning assassin known as The Witcher, has been waiting for the birth of a prophesied child. This child has the power to change the world - for good, or for evil.

As the threat of war hangs over the land and the child is hunted for her extraordinary powers, it will become Geralt's responsibility to protect them all - and the Witcher never accepts defeat.

Blood of Elves is the first full-length Witcher novel, and the perfect follow up if you've read The Last Wish collection.

Love the history, action, and pacing of this book. It does help that I am familiar with the video game, but this author is one of the better ones I have read this year.

Amazing atmosphere and story telling by Sapwoksi. It is great to finally have the first of this saga in English to enjoy. Geralt of Rivia is a well written character whose emotions and personality are developed through the story. His relationship with Yennefer and Tris is explored incredibly well with all characters being very vivid and believable. Having played the 2 games that come after the sage then coming back to read the saga was a treat as everything takes on a new light and understanding. I highly recommend this series to anyone who is into Fantasy and want an amazing world full of incredible characters to experience.

A addition to the Geralt's story

Not a collection of short stories but the beginning of what promises to be a much longer one. Ciri, the little and unique girl 'witcher-to-be' is an excellent addition.
