Synopsis

Pirates, explorers, headless horsemen, astronauts, suave secret agent men and more pirates; danger and adventure at every turn! Take a trip inside the mind of a typical five and a half year old kindergarten student named Mikey who, with his friends, battles imaginary and real pirates, explores the moon in a cardboard box, slays dragons disguised as school buses and conquers kindergarten.
Reading to children on a regular basis helps to develop listening skills and thought processes that television and video games do not. The eleven short stories contained herein are designed to be read to them in 8-10 minutes, nearly an hour in a preschooler’s time perception. They are written to allow children some latitude in the way they imagine the story and characters, and in a manner that encourages them to listen carefully and stretch their young minds just a bit. They are complex enough to be read to them over and over.
So take your child on a journey in imagination and along the way re-discover the five and a half year old that still resides within you too.
