Synopsis

**The 1st standalone novel in The Pucked Series**

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. She isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he's too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.

The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.

    Such a Fun Read

I loved this story as a fanfic and even more now. How can you not love these characters. I laughed and even cried at some parts, every part was so great. One of those books that you want to go on forever. Well done once again Helena :)

    Pucked

This book was incredibly fun to read. Ms Hunter has a vibrant sense of humor which had me giggling, snorting, howling and laughing until I peed my pants (dang peri-menopause). My plan is to check out some of her other novels. Also supporting an author who is a fellow Canadian feels like the right thing to do, eh?

    Fun, Quirky Read

I am not much into contemporary novels, but I enjoyed this one! Hunting's plot line is a little clichéd (a woman decides to date a hockey player despite her previous bad experiences, and they fall in love), however her characters are surprisingly refreshing. Violet, the protagonist is quirky, and largely inappropriate - never smoothly delivering any lines and always saying something she didn't mean to. Overall, I'd suggest this for anyone looking for a light, funny read!

    Freshly Pucked

What happens when sexy Violet meets the hottie hockey player? Well there's a lot of pucking and laughs mixed with a story that you won't forget, because Alex is generous. His cup runneth over and by cup I'm talking his atheltic one. Curious to know more about his generosity? Pick Pucked for your next read and enjoy. It's one of my favorites!

    Hot and heavy

Alex and Violet's eyes meet across the ice. Then, they meet in person after the game. It is hot and heavy attraction right from the start. Violet's step-brother is Alex's teammate. Since her family expects her to support her sort-of brother, she attends most home games. She and her step-brother are actually kind of close. Alex cannot stop thinking about Violet. He wants to be around her all the time. Soon, they want to be near each other all the time. Can something burning this hot, keep the fire lit? Has a lot of fun and surprises in this story. The book is a sometimes humorous and irreverent read. I enjoyed every minute, and cannot wait to catch the other books in the Pucked series.
