Who says oil and water don’t mix?
Cole Ryerson was a fierce competitor, respected and revered for his determination to be the best both in and out of the pool. As a World Champion swimmer, that determination carried over to his private life where he was one of the most sought after athletes in the world. It’s that determination that rubs Jenessa Brewer completely the wrong way. His ruthlessness doesn’t sit well with her after a confrontation they had when she was just starting out along with the 4 years since haven’t changed her opinion one bit with both of them taking every opportunity to put the other one in their place.
Cole was not used to being challenged especially by someone as lovely as Jenessa. It doesn’t sit well with Cole that a rival competitor has taken a sudden interest in the young swimmer or that Cole is having a harder and harder time keeping his indifference. While their interactions have become legendary, their desire for each other keeps burning hotter and stronger.
After a passionate encounter leaves Jenessa even more shaken up, she has no desire to ever see Cole again much less take up where they left off, but after making the Olympic team the close proximity of their schedules and forced togetherness, he has other ideas. It doesn’t help the situation that he isn’t the only one to notice that she has blossomed into a desirable woman or that his is not the attention she is interested in getting. Jenessa might be willing to act like their hot night didn’t happen but there could still be consequences to their night together and until that issue gets resolved, Cole was not willing to let her move on. The tension between the two is winding them up so tight, they both agree to set aside their differences and get whatever it is that keeps drawing them together out of their system. At least that was the plan…
