Marcie wants a change. She wants to get away from everything she has ever known before; from the men and her job as a waitress/bargirl, to even the climate and the country. So she leaves Calgary, Alberta and heads off to Florida, with a copy of Dodger the Dog—a children’s book she has illustrated—to start her life over.
At her new place in Tampa, there is no shortage of men, but once again they’re either married, or addicted, or recovering addicts.
It seems that no matter what she does or how hard she tries, Marcie still attracts the wrong men. From wild, gun-toting Emilio, to blond and gorgeous, recovering alcoholic Tim, nothing is working out the way she hoped.
Follow Marcie through her crazy adventures as she tries to find and improve herself in her New World.
