Kennedy Stern has returned to campus after surviving an abduction, but old scars cut deep. Vivid flashbacks and terrifying dreams paralyze her, threatening to ruin her academic career and any chance she has at peace or happiness. This mental anguish, however, constitutes only a small fraction of her post-traumatic nightmare.

A partner in Kennedy’s kidnapping remains at large and will not stop until he has silenced her witness permanently. His violent resolve risks not only her life, but the safety of anyone who tries to help.

Kennedy must engage in a deadly battle of the mind as she struggles to stay alive. While fighting on two fronts — one psychological and one physical — the question isn’t whether she’ll come out of the war stronger in the end.

The question is whether she’ll come out of it at all.

Clean, exciting, pager-turner - Loved it!

Once again, Alana Terry has written a great story full of mystery, surprises, anticipation, and yes, even a bit of romance as we see young Kennedy being hunted down by criminals who want her 'out of the picture' while she is struggling through her first semester of med-school at Harvard. Kennedy is an amazing young woman trying to live life as a Christian, while sharing her dorm room with Willow, a girl who is not too concerned about her morals or her 'good name'. Kennedy is also trying to keep her high academic standing, involving a great deal of studying and heavy reading assignments while still trying to help out Pastor Carl and his wife, Sandy, with their Pregnancy Center, and keep in touch with her Missionary parents in Yanji, China. If you think that is a lot to handle, you will want to read Paralyzed and find out all the shocking things that happen to Kennedy that literally leave her emotionally paralyzed, fearing for her life and looking over her shoulder at all times, and, in the end, needing Police protection. I am anxious to continue reading this series as I am still wondering about 'the red-haired newsman', Reuben and young Pastor Nick and which one of these men will feature in Kennedy's life in the future, OR will Kennedy have a future in medicine, on the Mission field, with the Pregnancy Center or will she live to see a career? This is a clean story which I would recommend to any age, and I thank the author for providing it to me for an honest review. Well done, Alana Terry! I would love to meet you one day.
