Synopsis

Duplicity. Desire. Denial. They were doomed from the start.

Ryan Howard has zero interest in the movie being filmed in Pine Harbour or the high maintenance stars staying in the cottages at the end of his lane. He's just barely holding on to the raw remains of his life and the fantasy world being concocted around him is, as far as he's concerned, a complete waste of time and energy. The one bright light in his life is an intern on the set, Holly Cresinski, and their quiet conversations at the end of the day on his back porch.

Holly hates her life, too, which is entirely unfair because she’s blessed beyond measure. She’s at the top of her career--as film actress, Hope Creswell--and surrounded by people that mean well. But Ryan makes her laugh, and cry, and before she can find the words to explain her deception, he kisses her.

Book 3 in the Pine Harbour series of standalone small town military romances. Also available: Love in a Small Town and Love in a Snow Storm.

    Awesome

Incredible addition to the Pine Harbour series! This is book three but can be read stand alone. After losing is wife, Ryan Howard is just trying to get himself and his 3 kids through each day. He's trying to lay low and let the scandalous death of his wife die down, so meeting and falling for the film's star is the last thing he needs!! I loved the way their relationship develops and how the sweet and caring Holly is able to help Ryan to really start living again. This is a recommend read.

Love always wins in the End

Loved this story. Ryan and Holly really know how to pull at the heart strings. You will definately not be disappointed with this author, book or series! The characters are relatable and that to me is what makes a good book!

    Touching and Emotional!

Two lonely and shattered people. Trust in a not possible; having a mate is impossible! Ryan lost his wife, when she was killed in a shootout. He's raising three children alone now. The family is struggling with their loss and Ryan with useless guilt. Hope/Holly is in town to film a movie. She's tired of the "star" life. She meets Ryan while jogging and they develop a routine of talking during her nightly runs. Touching and emotional romance with an inspiring look into bereavement. The characters, dialog, and story keep the pages turning! Received book free for honest review.
