". . . gracefully written" - The New York Times. Award-winning historian Lionel Casson paints a vivid portrait of the people of ancient Egypt - from peasants and pharaohs to soldiers and scribes and artists and priests - and what life was like beyond the splendors and treasures that remain with us today.

    Egypt, A Pleasant Little Book

A fairly short for the subject book, that makes a very involved subject pleasant and easy to read. Whilst this book will certainly not make you a expert on this very long and involved time and country, it will help you understand a little of its history. A good book for anyone who would like to learn a little more on this interesting land.
