"So you're eighteen?" Ed asks. Carol assures him she is. But is she really? Ed meets a young woman, a teenager really, in a chance restaurant encounter. He buys her dinner, assuring her of no strings attached, "Besides, Carol, I'm old enough to be your father." She smiles mischievously, "What if I have a 'daddy' thing?" Carol ends up spending the night with Ed resulting in the best sex ever.
"I'm an antiques dealer. Well, actually, buyer. I have a partner back in L.A. that does the wheeling-dealing and makes us money. I specialize in rare books, but there are many other things that might get my attention. There's an estate sale in Bodega tomorrow and I think there might be a few things that I'll want to buy.
"And you," Ed tossed the ball back in Carol's court.
Okay, here's where he finds out how old I really am, she told herself. She wondered if it would make a difference. She wondered why she was wondering that.
"Starting college next fall." Carol shrugged and grimaced.
"Well, someone's got to do it, right?" Ed said.
Carol laughed. "Yeah, I guess so."
"Starting college, eh?" Ed just had to ask. "So you're 18 then, right?"
Carol looked at him for a second. "Yep. Is that a problem?"
Ed didn't know what to make of that. He gave her a bemused look. "No. No. Eighteen is just fine." And then he blushed. What a dumb-ass thing to say. It sounded so like a pervert hitting on a girl.
Carol tilted her head back and laughed. Ed like that sound of her laugh.
"Yeah, Ed, I like being 18. I'm glad you do too."
Ed realized that his cock was beginning to react to this young woman in a very pleasant way. Stop it, he told himself, an 18-year-old girl can't really be attracted to a 36-year-old man.
