This book is about Naturopathic doctors - there background, philosophy and training as well as treatments and remedies for common illnesses.

Naturopathic Doctors have much the same training as traditional doctors plus have extensive training in drug/herb interactions, herbal medicine, physical medicine and clinical nutrition and more. Just as their traditional counterparts they use many of the same procedures like lab testing, allergy testing, imaging and physical exams. A lot of people have heard about Holistic Medicine and Naturopathic Doctors and many are already consulting them and getting positive results.

After all, Holistic Medicine has been around for thousands of years, starting out in India and China.

The best way to define Holistic Medicine comes from the American Holistic Medicine Association:
'Holistic medicine is the art and science of healing that addresses care of the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. The practice of holistic medicine integrates conventional and complementary therapies to promote optimal health, and prevent and treat disease by addressing contributing factors.'

If you read this far I can assume you are at least a little curious or maybe seriously considering changing to a Naturopathic Doctor for your medical ( and spiritual ) needs. This shows you have an open mind and can consider another path that will put your body in proper alignment naturally.

To your good heath, Roger Payne
