True love can be dangerous
Librarian Jo Morgan has cultivated a good girl image. Eager to escape her past, she has built a safe and secure life in the small Cornish fishing village of Trevellan. When a close friend shows up on her doorstep one night shivering, soaking wet and clearly in shock, Jo does what any good girl would–she offers her and her young son shelter. But even good girls can make bad decisions, albeit for all the right reasons.
When her friend’s husband is found murdered the next day, Jo cannot bring herself to turn her in, particularly since she believes she is innocent. But harbouring a fugitive is a dangerous game for a woman who has something to hide. When the investigating detective Will Fletcher shows too much interest in her and her past, Jo resolves to act. She begins a secret investigation, determined to catch the killer and clear her friend of suspicion before Will uncovers her secret. What she doesn’t count on is falling for the one man who can bring her carefully constructed world crashing down around her.
