It is the year 2001. Pam has recently opened up a small business-in case management. One year later, this social worker struggles to get her paperwork in order, after becoming an accused by the FBI. An investigation leads to her imprisonment in the federal penitentiary. Devastated by the drastic change in her living environment, from middle-class comfort to living with numerous women in prison, Pam begins to search for understanding and knowledge about her case. It is a search that accidentally leads her to discover something sinister, while living behind the walls. Meanwhile, she makes three unlikely friends. Nega, the Creole wife of a dentist; Natasha, a Native American with a deep love of nature; and Erica, an alluring Chicano teenager with a huge crush on an officer. Sex between women, fighting and lovers permeate the surroundings. Now Pam and her friends must each face her own personal struggles and temptations within the federal penitentiary of hell.
