In "Collecting Old Lustre Ware," by W. Bosanko, the author has assembled one of the few books on this beautiful type of antique pottery that is available. The book reviews the history of old Lustre Ware pottery, explains the process, and most important for the collector, illustrates various old Lustre Ware pottery pieces so both the neophyte & advanced collector can advance their collection without fear of being "taken" by fakes. We have slightly changed the original format of this important antique reference by scanning the 45+ old Lustre Ware illustration pieces at a high-scan rate, then making the resultant exported images as large as possible so that the user will be able to clearly identify the reference points the author states.
The E-book format allows the interested collector to have the text and illustrations of this important antique reference book with them at all times, so that no buying opportunity will be missed. It illustrates the old antique collecting proverb; "antique references close at hand are invaluable; became the first time you use the reference, its cost will be returned several times over."
There are approximately 22,700 words and approximately 75+ pages at 300 words per page in this e-book.
NOTE: This book has been scanned then OCR (Optical Character Recognition) has been applied to turn the scanned page images back into editable text. Then every effort has been made to correct typos, spelling, and to eliminate stray marks picked up by the OCR program. The original and/or extra period images, if any, were then placed in the appropriate place and, finally, the file was formatted for the e-book criteria of the site. This means that the text CAN be re-sized, searches performed, & bookmarks added, unlike some other e-books that are only scanned---errors, stray marks, and all.
We have added an Interactive Table of Contents & an Interactive List of Illustrations if any were present in the original. This means that the reader can click on the links in the Table of Contents or the List of Illustrations & be instantly transported to that chapter or illustration.
