Synopsis

The rule:  Get married and have a baby.

When Grandpa Stinson dies, he expects nothing more than to keep his grandsons together, running the family's multibillion-dollar business.  But he's got just one unfaltering rule:  they have to get married and have a baby first.  The brothers disagree...wholeheartedly.

But it's set in stone. Follow the rule or you're the one grandson out of luck...

Stubborn, rugged, but oh-so-sexy, Roark Stinson, the oldest brother, refuses to give in to his grandfather's manipulations.  After all, women are the root of all evil, and he's never witnessed a relationship that actually works.  Then it hits him; it doesn't have to work.

Roark just needs a warm body to agree to the terms...

Zoe Morgan never wanted to be anyone's "means to an end," especially not Roark Stinson's.  But his proposal is one she's in no position to refuse--can't refuse. When the stakes are this high,  a warm body might just be exactly what she needs.

Maybe--just maybe--Grandpa Stinson knew exactly what he was doing...

    Good read

A very easy read in fact I like this author's style even though there seem to be a few unedited timeline errors. This is the boy needs a girl to marry and have a baby for him so that he can inherit his portion of a fortune and she needs money to pay off debts and maintain her grandmother's medical upkeep. There are a few very funny moments, some sad ones, some loving ones and some very caring and endearing ones and I loved them all. I recommend this book to all lovers of romance. I was gifted a copy of this book by the author and this is my honest review.

    The FEELS

I received an ARC from the Emma, in exchange for an honest review. I loved the blurb for this book, it had me intrigued, so I jumped at the chance to read the ARC. This is my first book that I've read by Emma, after reading this book, it wont be my last. 'Can't Get You Off My Mind' is book 1 of Emma's new series "Somewhere TX: Bachelors".... I absolutely LOVED it. When Grandpa Stinson dies, at the will readin Roark & his brothers find out that they must be married & have a baby on the way in a year, in order to continue overseeing the families multi-million dollar business. Upon hearing this Roark barges out of his office changing his life instanly. Zoe is constantly working, paying off so much debt, leaving her with no life, but when she gets knocked, breaking a fish tank with her head, her life is changed dramatically.... I don't want to give too much of the storyline away, so I'll end there. OMG, what a story, this is a MUST READ for any readers who love a feel good read. It had me in tears at times, some parts were truely heartbreaking, but in others the characters had me going AWWWWW, out load. I devoured this book, I felt like I was inside the story when reading it. I can't wait to read what comes next for the Stinson brothers.

Can't Get You Off My Mind

A really fun take on the "must marry to inherit" theme. Three bachelor brothers stand to lose everything if they don't marry within a year. But wait! There's more! They can't just marry - they also have to have a kid. Talk about a crazy timeline! All in one year!! None of them take the news very well, I mean, who would? And as they all try to come up with some hair-brained scheme to meet the terms - Roark meets Zoe. Meets might not be the best way to describe their introduction. It was quite funny and a story they can tell their friends and family for years. It will never grow old. Roark is quite the sweetheart once you dig through all the crap in the way of getting to his heart. This story is really all about the relationship. There is no huge outside suspense or drama. It's all about the people and learning to open up and let someone else in. To take that chance that just maybe you found your happily ever after in the place you least expected. I can't wait to see what's in store for our next brother. *This book was received in exchange for an honest review*

    As lovely as the cover!

Zoe Morgan doesn’t have it easy. She’s been shunned by her community who cannot forgive her for an accident for which she was not responsible. She’s still paying the hospital bills, and her grandmother is in a home; Zoe works all the time: she has three jobs, and still she barely makes ends meet. Her life is about to change when Roark Stinson literally runs into her. She is injured; Roark is wealthy but a good person and asks Zoe to recuperate at his home. Then Roark realises that Zoe might be the solution to his problem: to keep their company in the family, Roark’s grandfather put in his will that his grandsons can keep the company only if they marry within the year and produce a child. Roark likes Zoe, so why not solve both their problems: he gets a wife, thus keep the company in the family, and he solves all her money problems by paying off all her debts and ensuring that her grandmother is well taking care of for the rest of her life. Emma Roman avoids all the pitfalls and traps that can sink a book with this sort of trope. I often find the marriage of convenience a stretch in contemporary romance, but Ms. Roman gives her characters the right motivations, and it really works. Both Zoe and Roark are very appealing; he doesn’t like his predicament but since he likes Zoe, he figures he can do some good at the same time he deals with his own headache. They deal with their issues realistically, and while they are attracted to each other, there is no instasex or endless silly squabbles before they agree on a solution; I really liked how the romance evolved; nothing was rushed. Ms. Roman is a fine writer; the prose is light, elegant yet simple; everything flows smoothly. I also enjoyed the friendship between Zoe and her friend Clara, as well as the relationship between the Stinson brothers. Now, we have to wait for what Emma Roman has in store for the other two brothers. An excellent, quick read! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

    Highly Recommend!

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the author in exchange for an honest review. A remarkably well-written beautiful and emotional story with characters that come alive on the page. Emma Roman weaves a story of angst, heartbreak, compassion, secrets, attraction, relationships, family, romance, which all leads to love and a HEA.
