Review by Jules Versthad
“Brainy Universe... and You?” by Juseb Torie is an insightful ebook unfolding an intelligent universe and a not-so-intelligent ‘Standard’ Model Cosmology. While the ebook exposes the dysfunctional nature of the ‘Standard’ Model –and its causes-, it offers thought-provoking intelligent interpretations of what we know about it.
The ebook is based on a series of chats and discussions about cosmology by a small group of science lovers in an informal debate setting. While critiquing unrelentingly the contradictions of the Standard’ Model, it offers some outstanding explanations of phenomena that in Torie’s opinion have been interpreted poorly and contradictorily by cosmologists. It offers an elegant and intelligent explanation of Olbers’ paradox and the Microwave Background Radiation, which combined cast them as some of the biggest proofs against the ‘Standard’ Model.
In addition, uncovers and discusses some of Einstein’s mistaken ideas about the spacetime and the speed of light, which have contributed to the present non-intelligent scientific assumptions, and questions the validity of present models of the universe based on a very limited knowledge of it. Torie also attacks Einstein’s idea that the universe is a continuum that has Universal Laws of Physics, although he reserves a deeper analysis and explanations of his views for his upcoming ebook.
“Brainy Universe...” claims that the 'Standard' Model is not a Scientific Standard and that Dark Matter is no more than an excuse to defend the ‘imagined’ expansion of the universe advanced by it and by the Big Bang, theories to which he assigns a similar science-fictional level as the Star Trek TV series. To prove his point he presents what he calls the ‘contradictory, non-intelligent guidelines of the Big-Double-‘Standard’ Model, which he accuses of shoddily slapping together explanations from different theoretical systems, such as the expanding and the static views of the universe.
Torie blames all of the above maladies of the ‘Standard’ Model to a behind-the-scene hidden-hand that he labels as the Godfathers and Patrons of Science, who pays for science and therefore owns it, adding that prestigious scientists are no more than their employees at their beck and call. Torie goes as far as to insinuate that the Patrons of Science hidden agenda is to justify their worldviews and desire to control the world. He claims that most of the scientific journals and media, scientific prizes and even education are controlled or influenced by such a group and that they discriminate against dissenters and Intelligent Design scientists, whom are thus accused of presenting pseudo-scientific views of the universe.
The ebook suggests why Hubble Constant and Law are no more than non-intelligent narratives. He also accuses the ‘Standard’ model of using Hubble’s name to defend the expansion of the universe, even against Hubble’s belief –until his death- that the universe isn’t expanding.
The ebook claims that proving the Big Bang would be more difficult that finding or proving the existence of the Tooth-Fairy!
In addition, Torie offers a “tentative ‘medium-size’ picture” of how galaxies could be internally organized, which would render most of the conclusions of modern cosmology invalid! As a side dish, Torie accuses a large segment of western modern education of being no more than thought-reform camps for children.
This ebook proposes the use of the Archeologists’ Approach of studying what it has been built to know more about the builders. Torie claims that such approach in the study of the universe reveals the existence of an extraordinarily intelligent designer behind it, which he identifies unequivocally with the God of Scripture.
It is not for me to attack or defend Torie’s forceful arguments given from a theoretical Intelligent Design oriented perspective. You judge!
