Al Pacino’s parents divorced when he was only two .His mother later moved to another part of the city ,near the Bronx Zoo to live with her parents Kate and James Gerard. In his teenage years Pacino wanted to be a baseball player, His friends called him “sonny” and was later nicknamed “The actor “due to his theatrics.
He dropped out of school at the age of 17 leading to a disagreement with his mother, who lead to an argument and Al Pacino left home.
After leaving home, Al Pacino worked in low paying jobs and one time he was a Janitor, a bus boy and also a postal clerk.
