“Both creepy…and quite moving.”
New York Times Book Review

“Wall’s story couldn’t be more timely.”

Stolen Innocence is the gripping New York Times bestselling memoir of Elissa Wall, the courageous former member of Utah’s infamous FLDS polygamist sect whose powerful courtroom testimony helped convict controversial sect leader Warren Jeffs in September 2007. At once shocking, heartbreaking, and inspiring, Wall’s story of subjugation and survival exposes the darkness at the root of this rebel offshoot of the Mormon faith.

This is another telling of people brainwashing others in the name of religion or power. How Dad that humans do this to other humans. How sad that as parents, the brainwashing put their children in danger. Kudos to the author for her struggles to combat that brainwashing and break free. Great writing that builds the mind control used on the people within the inner circle of the FLDS. The mantra should no longer be 'be sweet' but 'be strong '!

Stolen Innocence was the kind of book I did not want to put down once I started reading. It gave great insight into how far extremists are willing to go to keep control over people.

This is a great book of the struggles this one girl went through. I feel for all the young girls and women trapped in this cult.

This book was one ever the best I've read lately. Elissa's story is remarkable and outstandingly written. I really got a sense of what it's like to grow up in that church and not just a normals group
